András Csaplár

András Csaplár (born November 16, 1912 in Mecsér , Moson County , † July 23, 1995 in Los Angeles , United States ) was a Hungarian long-distance runner .

Over 5000 m he won bronze at the International University Games in Budapest in 1935 and in Paris in 1937. At the European Athletics Championships in Paris in 1938 he was seventh, and at the World Student Games in Vienna in 1939 he took silver.

In 1946 he won bronze over 10,000 m at the European Athletics Championships in Oslo .

He was once Hungarian champion in the 5000 m (1939), 10,000 m (1941) and in the marathon (1946).
