André Almeida , full name Domingos André Ribeiros Almeida , (born May 30, 2000 in Guimarães ) is a Portuguese football player who is used as an attacking midfielder .

Career

Almeida started playing football very early at Vitória Guimarães , where he was discovered early by scouts and continued to rise in the club. In 2016 he moved up in their B-team. In the Segunda Liga he made 22 missions without a goal. On August 18, 2019, at the age of 19, he made his debut in the Primeira Liga against Boavista Porto (1-1). By the 16th matchday he came on 5 missions and one goal. After that he was no longer appointed to the squad. He made his international debut in the Europa League qualifier against FK Ventspils , which was won 3-0. He was also used a few times in the group stage.
