André Filipe Brás André (born August 26, 1989 in Vila do Conde ) is a Portuguese football player . He is the son of the 20-time Portuguese national soccer player António André .

Career

In the club

André André had played for Varzim SC for seven years as a youth before moving to FC Porto’s youth division in 2007 . Regardless, he signed his first professional contract in 2008 with the second division Varzim SC, for which he played 49 league games and scored six goals in the following two years. For the 2010/11 season he moved to Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna , but completed as a result only three appearances for the second team in the Segunda División B . In the second half of the season he returned to Varzim SC, with whom he was relegated to the third division at the end of the season. In the 2011/12 season he helped the club return to the second division with twelve goals in 33 games. Then André moved to Vitória Guimarães for the 2012/13 season . There he immediately fought for a regular place and won the Portuguese Cup at the end of the season with a 2-1 final win over Benfica Lisbon . For the 2015/16 season he was signed by FC Porto, where his father had also played.

In the national team

André André played an international match for the U-19 national team in 2008 . On March 31, 2015, he made his debut under national coach Fernando Santos as part of a friendly against Cape Verde in the senior team . He scored his first international goal on November 17, 2015 in a friendly against Luxembourg .
