André Gonçalves Caetano (born January 23, 1992 ) is a former Swiss football professional. He has been playing for FC Linth 04 since July 2019 and is returning to his home canton ( Glarus ).
Career
Gonçalves began his career in 1999 as an F-Junior at FC Glarus . In 2005 he moved to FC Rapperswil-Jona for a year , where he played in the U15 team. In 2006 he changed clubs again, now he was part of the junior department of FC Zurich . At FC Zurich, Gonçalves went through the remaining junior levels up to U21, with whom he finally played two seasons as a regular first division player. In summer 2010 he was loaned from FC Zurich to FC Aarau , which was relegated to the Challenge League . At FC Aarau he played 30 games in the 2010/11 season.
From the U16 onwards, Gonçalves was a member of the Swiss national soccer team, with which he was part of the squad at all levels.
The highlight of his national team career was the U17 world championship title in Nigeria in 2009. Gonçalves was used in all games.
In the 2012/2013 season he played a game in the NLA when he was substituted on for 16 minutes.
