André Paskowski (born April 16, 1982 in Rostock ; † August 2, 2013 ) was a German freestyle windsurfer . His sail number was G-2.

biography

Paskowski got into windsurfing at the age of six through his father, who was an avid surfer himself. In 2003 he turned professional and took part in the PWA - World Tour .

André Paskowski has produced numerous windsurf films such as Magic Moments , Wet and Salty , Flashback , Four Dimensions , Minds Wide Open and Below the Surface . In 2010 he developed testicular cancer . He succumbed to this cancer on August 2, 2013.

His last film project, Below the Surface, is a mixture of a classic windsurfing film and a documentary that was made with Victor Fernandez, Marcilio Browne, Klaas Voget , Alessio Stillrich and Jose Estredo at five of the world's most famous wave spots. The premiere took place posthumously as part of the 30th Windsurf World Cup Sylt on September 28, 2013.
