André Léon Ghislain Marie Joseph van de Werve de Vorsselaer (born April 10, 1908 in Antwerp , † October 6, 1984 there ) was a Belgian foil fencer .
successes
André van de Werve de Vorsselaer won bronze with the team at the World Championships in Lisbon in 1947 . He took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1936 he was fifth with the team in Berlin . At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he moved into the final round with the Belgian team, which he completed together with Georges de Bourguignon , Henri Paternóster , Raymond Bru , Paul Valcke and Édouard Yves behind France and Italy on the bronze medal. In the individual competition he was eliminated in the second round.
