Paul Louis Jean Valcke (born January 11, 1914 in Ostend , † July 15, 1980 in Ambrumesnil , France ) was a Belgian foil fencer .

successes

Paul Valcke won bronze with the team at the 1947 World Championships in Lisbon . He took part in the Olympic Games three times : in 1936 he finished fifth with the team in Berlin and was eliminated from the individual in the penultimate round. At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he and the Belgian team made it into the final round, which he finished with a bronze medal with Georges de Bourguignon , Henri Paternóster , Raymond Bru , André van de Werve de Vorsselaer and Édouard Yves behind France and Italy . He finished the individual competition in seventh place. In 1952 he was in Helsinki with the team again fifth, while he was eliminated in the individual in the second round. In addition, he was in the squad of the Degen team, with which he did not get beyond the quarter-finals.
