Andrée A. Michaud
Andrée A. Michaud (born November 12, 1957 in Saint-Sébastien , Le Granit ) is a Canadian writer .
Life and work
Michaud graduated from Université Laval with a bachelor's degree in philosophy, film studies and linguistics . She then worked for several years in a film history research group. In 1986 she completed her studies in literature at the Université du Québec à Montréal with a master's degree .
In 1987 her first novel La femme de Sath was published . The multimedia production Un paysage / Eine Landschaft / A Landscape (1996–2000) of the artistic cooperation project Recto-Verso ( Québec ) combined Heiner Müller's description of the picture (1984) with texts by Michaud. For recto-verso's Cette petite chose (1997) she also provided the textual basis.
In 2001 Michaud was awarded the Prix du Gouverneur général pour romans et nouvelles de langue française for Le ravissement . Her novel Mirror Lake (2006) was filmed as Lac Mystère by Erik Canuel in 2013 . In 2014 she received her second Prix du Gouverneur général for the crime novel Bondrée .
