Konrad von Plötzkau
Konrad von Plötzkau (called Sachsenblume , † 1132/33 near Monza , Italy) was Count of Plötzkau and Margrave of the Nordmark (1130).
Life
Konrad was a son of Helperich von Plötzkau and Adele von Beichlingen. His year of birth is unknown.
1130 enfeoffed him the later Emperor Lothar III. with the Nordmark , the Slavic area east of the Elbe . The title was a claim with no real rule. In 1132 Konrad followed the king on his Italian campaign. On December 25th he was hit by an arrow while fighting with the Normans. Shortly afterwards he died. On January 10, 1133, he is said to have been buried in the Hecklingen monastery.

Konrad was engaged to a daughter of King Bolesław Wrymouth of Poland. It is unclear whether they got married.
