Andrea Bolgi called Il Carrarino (born June 22, 1606 or 1605 in Carrara , † 1656 in Naples ) was an Italian sculptor.

Life

Andrea Bolgi spent his youth in Carrara , Massa, Livorno and Florence. He was a student and later an employee of Pietro Tacca . In 1626 he went to Rome with Francesco Baratta and became an assistant to Gianlorenzo Bernini . Between 1629 and 1639 he worked in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
