Andrea Deplazes
Andrea Deplazes (born May 18, 1960 in Chur ) is a Swiss architect .
Life
Deplazes studied architecture at the ETH in Zurich and graduated in 1988 with Fabio Reinhart . Together with Valentin Bearth , he founded the architectural office Bearth + Deplazes Architekten AG in 1988 . In the same year he received his diploma and then worked as a lecturer for the HTW in Chur . In 1994 Deplazes became a member of the SIA , and two years later of the Federation of Swiss Architects (BSA). In 1997 Deplazes left the job at the HTL and switched to the ETH as professor for architecture and construction . From 2005 to 2007 he was head of the Department of Architecture at the ETH.
Deplazes now lives and works in Zurich and Chur.
