Andrea Diener

Andrea Christina Diener (born January 28, 1974 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German journalist , editor , author , photographer and podcaster .

Life and professional activity

Andrea servant grew up in Frankfurt's Griesheim and studied at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , both English literature and art history . She wrote her master's thesis in English studies on utopian and fantastic travelogues in the English Early Enlightenment. Diener worked as a receptionist in the Irish tourist office and as a museum guide in the Goethe House . She wrote for the book fair newspaper and the FAZ's travel journal , and has been editor of the feature pages since 2016 .

With Stefan Geyer she published the book Sweet, Sour, Pure at Henrich Editions in 2016 : On the way in the Frankfurt apple wine culture . In 2017, Rowohlt published Ab vom Schuss: Reisen in die international provinces . She was also the photographer responsible for both books.

Since 2013 she has been a regular guest in Holger Klein's podcast series Wrint , in which she talks about her travels. In 2015 she started the literature podcast Tsundoku .

Andrea Diener lives in the Bockenheim district of Frankfurt .
