Andrea Haufe

Andrea Haufe (born September 10, 1953 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German designer , illustrator and publisher . She lives in Freiburg.

Career

Andrea Haufe attended the Waldorf School in Freiburg and completed her Abitur at the high school in Reichersbeuern in Bavaria.

She discovered her great passion, the love for animals, at an early age. Haufe first worked as a zookeeper for orangutans and chimpanzees at Hellabrunn Zoo , Munich, before starting her studies in forestry and German in Freiburg.

Long stays in Brazil followed . In Rio de Janeiro she was a scene photographer for Brazilian youth films (JB Tanko Filmes). After training as a bookseller in Freiburg, she became a publisher. Since 1990 designs and illustrations for children's picture books, T-shirts, clocks, postcards, art cards, calendars, CD-ROMS followed.

Andrea Haufe's first public art exhibitions followed at the end of the 1990s. Andrea Haufe is the chairwoman of the advisory board of the Haufe Group .

Foundation, endowment

The Andrea Haufe Foundation was founded in 2002 .

The focus of the Andrea Haufe Foundation lies in the promotion of social aid projects, which are primarily dedicated to children and animals. The foundation receives the necessary financial means through donations and all income from Andrea Haufe's artistic activity.

All donations flow exclusively to the projects intended for them, including:

  • Animal Welfare Project in Asia (Animals Asia Foundation)
  • Street Children Project (Brazil)
  • Animal welfare project in Brazil, SítioBichoGaúcho ( Porto Alegre )

In 2014 the Andrea Haufe Münster Foundation was founded, which contributes to the preservation of the Freiburg Cathedral.
