Kirchberg Reichersbeuern
Panorama from the Kirchberg in Reichersbeuern

Reichersbeuern is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen and the seat of the Reichersbeuern administrative community .

geography

Reichersbeuern is located between wooded hills on the edge of the foothills. The town's landmarks are the St. Korbinian church and the unspoilt Alpine panorama with the Kirchberg and the Benediktenwand behind it.

The municipality has two officially named parts of the municipality (the type of settlement is indicated in brackets ):

Reut only includes a few buildings. Allgau (north of Reichersbeuern) is also used locally as a place name. The actual village is again divided into three (or, depending on the reading: four) regions: the upper village with Reichersbeuern Castle to the west of the village center, the lower village to the east of the village center (sometimes the new development area in the far east of the municipality is referred to as a separate part), and the settlement south of the federal highway. Finally, there is also the industrial area in the Reintal, which, however, already belongs to the neighboring municipality in part.

history

Until the church is planted

Reichersbeuern names the year 1020 as the date of the first documentary mention. For a long time Reichersbeuern was directly connected to the (Holy Roman) Empire (German Nation), which is also indicated by its name. The nhemd castle, the influence of the Tegernsee monastery on the region grew.

At this time, Reichersbeuern was the seat of the empire-dependent administration and the lower court. For a long time, ZuReichersbeuern was the seat of a Hofmarker of Pienzenau and became an independent political municipality in 1818 as part of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria . Today it also administers the two neighboring communities of Sachsenkam and Greiling. Reichersbeuern has been the seat of the administrative community between Reichersbeuern, Sachsenkam and Greiling since the regional reform in 1978 .

Attractions

The parish church of St. Korbinian and the Reichersbeuern Castle , a former moated castle, are worth seeing . It has fallen into disrepair several times in the course of its history and has been renovated and expanded in the style of the respective time. It currently houses the Max-Rill-Gymnasium.

Population development

Between 1988 and 2018, the municipality grew from 1,604 to 2,518 by 914 inhabitants or 57%.

  • 1840: 0436 inhabitants
  • 1932: 0992 inhabitants
  • 1991: 1748 inhabitants
  • 1995: 1928 inhabitants
  • 2005: 2172 inhabitants
  • 2010: 2230 inhabitants
  • 2015: 2317 inhabitants

politics

Municipal council

In the course of the 2020 local elections, three members of the municipal council from the "Grünes Reichersbeuern" list entered the council. This is generally regarded as a respectable success, but cannot endanger the de facto coalition of the CSU and FWG.

After the local elections on March 16, 2014 , the local council has 14 members. The turnout was 73%. The choice brought the following result:

  CSU / commoners     6 seats  (50.78%)
Free community of voters 7 seats (49.22%)

Another member and chairman of the municipal council is the mayor.

coat of arms

The coat of arms description reads: Divided; above in gold a red growing panther, below in blue on green ground a silver house with a golden roof.

Citizens' petition against the planned radio mast on the Kirchberg

In 2017, Deutsche Telekom asked the Reichersbeuern community to be allowed to build a radio mast on the Kirchberg in the village. The community initially refused and preferred the Walmbichl hill, which is further outside the village . In autumn 2018, 200 votes against the location in the village and for the Walmbichl as a location were collected from citizens. In the first petition in the history of Reichersbeuern, more than 500 people signed in March 2019 against the "mobile phone mast on the Kirchberg". Arguments of the referendum were the fear of increased radiation exposure from the Kirchberg location and the visual impairment of the townscape. At the same time as the 2019 European elections, a referendum took place on May 26, 2019, in which the Kirchberg location was voted for.
