Wolfratshauser Forest

The Wolfratshauser Forest is a turn 4.28 km² unincorporated community in the district of Bad Tolz-Wolfratshausen in Bavaria . It is mostly located in the Isarauen nature reserve between Schäftlarn and Bad Tölz .

The Wolfratshauser Forst is a state forest in the Isar valley south of Wolfratshausen .

history

From 1937 camouflaged ammunition factories and other armaments facilities were built in the then much larger Wolfratshauser Forst. Up to 4,000 forced laborers were used there until 1945. In 1950, today's town of Geretsried was built on the site of the ammunition factories .
