Andrea Mamé

Andrea Mamé (born January 15, 1972 in Milan , † June 30, 2013 in Le Castellet ) was an Italian entrepreneur and racing car driver .

Career

Mamé was the owner of the Lion Racing Team . The racing team took part in rallies , hill climbs and GT races on both a national and international level .

On June 30, 2013, Mamé had an accident during a Lamborghini Super Trofeo race on the Paul Ricard Circuit (at the time of the accident, Mamé was runner-up in the overall standings). Five cars were involved in the collision that was triggered immediately after take-off. As inboard photos show, Andrea Solimená's car was hit at around 170 km / h, with both vehicles crashing into the lane. Solimená broke a vortex in this collision. Like the other injured pilots, Mamé was taken to the track's medical center. There he succumbed to his serious injuries.

Personal

Mamé first attended the Leonardo da Vinci high school in Lugano, Switzerland . He then obtained a degree in Production Management from the University of Castellanza . In 1994 he became an employee of Forgiatura Mamé . In 2000 he was promoted to head of the commercial department there. In 2003 he became a member of the Board of Directors. In 2009 Mamé Group SpA was created , where Mamé became chairman of the group.
