Andrea Meier (born May 29, 1970 in Zurich ) is a Swiss television journalist .

life and work

Andrea Meier studied cultural studies and media politics at the Kunsthochschule Zürich . She worked in Strasbourg for the European cultural channel ARTE , in Paris for the ZDF Südwesteuropastudio and in Hamburg for the television channel n-tv . In Switzerland she worked as a presenter for the former private broadcaster TV3 and as a journalist for several years for the Swiss radio station DRS . From August 2004 to January 2017, she succeeded Eva Wannenmacher as the representative of Swiss television at the television broadcaster 3sat, presenting the Kulturzeit magazine , for whose editorial team she also produced television reports. In 2008 she published the children's book Princess Me with Bloomsbury Verlag . In the same year, on the occasion of a 3sat themed day, she hosted a Kulturzeit program entirely in Latin. Andrea Meier lives in Zurich with her husband and their two children.
