Andrea Navagero ( Latin Andreas Naugerius ; * 1483 in Venice , † 1529 in Blois ) was an Italian humanist and poet.

Navagero came from a noble Venetian family. He was hired by Aldus Manutius as editor of classical texts. He was later appointed head of the library of the Basilica di San Marco and entrusted with diplomatic missions for the Republic of Venice . During his stay in Spain in 1526, he made friends with Juan Boscán Almogávar , who, under Navagero's influence, introduced elements of the Italian style into Spanish literature. Navagero's Latin poetry surpasses his Italian works. Letters and notes have been preserved about his diplomatic travels. He was also famous for his gardens in Treviso and Murano .
