Andreas Barraud (born November 15, 1957 ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ).

From 2001 Barraud was for the Swiss People's Party in the Cantonal Council of Canton Schwyz , where he has headed the SVP parliamentary group since 2004. In June 2002 Barraud ran for the first time for the government council , but was subject to the CVP candidate Lorenz Bösch , Ingenbohl . At that time it was another failed attempt by the SVP to gain a seat in the Schwyz government. On March 16, 2008, he was elected to the government council. From July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2016 he was head of the Department of Environment. He has headed the Department of Economic Affairs since July 1, 2016. From July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2016, Barraud was also Landammann of the Canton of Schwyz.

Barraud is married and has two daughters. He lives in Bennau .
