The route of the Mühlibähnli ran between the former Holcim Brunnen factory and the Unterschönenbuch quarry until 2010 , but its operation has been discontinued and the tracks have been removed. Reismühle Brunnen , a subsidiary of the Coop group and a production site of Schwyzer Milchhuus AG, which belongs to the Migros group as part of Estavayer Lait , is still located in Ingenbohl .
The A4 motorway ends between Ibach bei Schwyz and Ingenbohl . Its continuation is the two-lane Axenstrasse , which then follows the Urnersee of the Vierwaldstättersee. In Flüelen , the A2 continues in the direction of the Gotthard road tunnel and then into Ticino.
Brunnen is a tourist resort. Numerous shops, hotels and restaurants have settled there. Ingenbohl's side is much more industrialized in comparison. Other branches of business are agriculture and small businesses.
