Andreas Boll (born August 6, 1976 ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach .

Player career

After the youth stations TuS Bloherfelde and TuS Eversten, Boll came to VfB Oldenburg in 1994 . On May 12, 1995 (31st match day) the young player made his regional league debut in the VfB jersey and was also used in the three following games until the end of the season. In 1995/96 he rose with his club from the Regionalliga Nord to the 2nd Bundesliga . He was featured 9 times in the promotion season and scored one goal. In the season 1996/97 he came on three second division appearances before he went straight back down with Oldenburg. During the 1997/98 season, Boll was able to fight for a regular place for the first time.

After two years in the regional league with Oldenburg, he moved to Berlin to study, where he joined the upper division Reinickendorfer Füchse (1999/00). After only one season there, Hertha Zehlendorf was his next station, where he played from 2000 to 2002. In 2002 he was initially unable to continue his career due to a serious injury to his left ankle. Boll only made his comeback in 2005 and was on the ball for VfL Oldenburg from the second half of the 2004/05 season onwards . He later played for Blau Weiß Ramsloh.

Coaching career

Since 2007 Andreas Boll coached the second team of VfB Oldenburg . The rise from the district league to the district league in the first year was followed by descent as twelfth in the table in 2008/09 as part of the restructuring of the district league. In 2009/10, Boll and his team succeeded in being promoted to the newly created Weser Ems regional league as champions. In October 2011, at the request of head coach Timo Ehle , Boll was promoted to assistant coach of the first men's team. After Ehle resigned a few days later, he was appointed interim coach and shortly thereafter head coach. At the end of the 2011/12 season, Boll led VfB Oldenburg to promotion to the regional league. On April 22, 2013 he was replaced by his previous assistant coach Alexander Nouri on the post of head coach.

In addition to football

Boll is a teacher for business and sports at the Ganderkesee Oberschule (Oldenburg district).
