Andreas Boyde (born November 13, 1967 in Oschatz ) is a German pianist .

Life

Andreas Boyde studied in Dresden with Christa Holzweißig and Amadeus Webersinke and in London with James Gibb. His mentor and sponsor Malcolm Frager had a decisive influence on him .

The pianist travels to international music centers and gives concerts as a soloist a. a. with the London Philharmonic Orchestra , the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden , the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Prague Radio Orchestra, the Dresden Philharmonie , the Riesa Symphony Orchestra, the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, the Virtuosi Saxoniae , the Zurich Chamber Orchestra , the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra , the Hallé Orchestra Manchester, the symphony orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater , the Dresden Symphony Orchestra , the London Mozart Players and the Berlin Symphony Orchestra . Furthermore, the Orchester Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt (Oder) appointed him Artist in Residence for the 2018/19 season.

Andreas Boyde premiered contemporary compositions such as Paul Schoenfield's Four Parables piano concerto and the world premiere of John Pickard's piano concerto dedicated to him.

The pianist recorded the piano work by Johannes Brahms on CD for OehmsClassics in co-production with Westdeutscher Rundfunk. Andreas Boyde's reconstruction of the Schubert Variations by Robert Schumann has been published by Hofmeister Musikverlag .

In 2012 he entered the city of Oschatz's book of honor.
