Andreas Frick (theologian)

Andreas Frick (born April 13, 1964 in Aachen ) is a Roman Catholic priest and vicar general of the diocese of Aachen .

Life

Frick obtained his Abitur in 1983 at the Franziskus-Gymnasium Vossenack in Hürtgenwald. He was ordained a priest on October 10, 1989 in Rome , and in 1997 he completed his studies in theology with a doctorate . After the chaplain years in the parish of St. Nikolaus in Meerbusch-Osterath , he was cathedral vicar at the High Cathedral in Aachen from 1997 to 2007 . From 1997 to 2004 he took over the leadership of the parish St. Foillan in Aachen, from 2003 to 2004 he was head of the community of the parishes Aachen-Mitte .

Andreas Frick then became director at the Pauluskolleg in Bonn, the theologian convict of the diocese of Aachen (2004 to 2007). He was active in the diocesan priests' council and in the board of trustees for the training of priests. With the resignation of Bishop Heinrich Mussinghoff on December 8, 2015, Frick's office as vicar general ended and he was appointed deputy diocesan administrator. Mussinghoff's successor Helmut This appointed him again on November 12, 2016 as Vicar General.

Since 1988 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KAV Capitolina Rome . Since July 10, 2015 he has also been an honorary philistine of the KDStV Franconia Aachen .
