Andreas Fuchs (born May 9, 1978 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian squash player .

Career

Andreas Fuchs played on the PSA World Tour for the first time in 1996 . He achieved his best placement in the world rankings with 119th place in November 2005. In 2004 and 2005 he was Austrian national champion . In 2004 he was defeated by Clemens Wallishauser in the final, but was subsequently awarded the title after Wallishauser was banned for life by the Austrian association because of another positive doping test for marijuana . In doubles, he won ten national championship titles.

With the Austrian national team he took part in the World Cup in 2001 and 2003 . In addition, he was part of the Austrian squad at European championships several times . In 2004 he took part in the European Championships and reached the last sixteen, in which he was defeated by Adrian Grant . For Austria he also started in the World Games in 2005 and was eliminated in the first round against Hansi Seestaller .
