Andreas Käckell

Andreas Käckell (born November 29, 1964 in Kassel ) is a German sports journalist . He is moderator of the sports block in the ARD - day issues and head of the NDR - Sports Clubs .

After studying sports and English at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , he completed a traineeship at the Hessische / Niedersächsische Allgemeine in Bad Hersfeld. Since 1990 he has worked as an editor at NDR . He reported on numerous major sporting events such as the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, ​​the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, the 1998 European Athletics Championships in Budapest, the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the 2003 World Athletics Championships in Paris. Käckell is married and lives in Norderstedt with his wife and three children .
