Andreas Küne

Andreas Küne also Köhne or Kühne as well as Küene or Künne and Khünen ; (* before 1570 ; † 1599 ) was the ducal Brunswick-Lüneburg mint master in Goslar .

Andreas Küne was born before 1570 as the son of the mint master Hans Küne . As his father's successor in the office of mint master, he worked from 1570 until his death in 1599.

Künes appearance on the coin tasting day held in Braunschweig on December 15, 1571 was recorded in files. There he appeared - next to Wardein Steffen Brüning - as mint master of Duke Julius to take the prescribed oath .

Similar to his father, Küne used the double cross as a mint master's mark .
