Andreas Koller (* 1799 in Großfeistritz ; † 23 May 1875 in Klagenfurt ) was an Austrian Imperial and Royal Court and Court Counsel and from 10 November 1850 to 13 April 1852 mayor of Klagenfurt.

Life

Andreas Koller studied in Vienna and was born in 1830 k. k. Court and court attorney in Klagenfurt. In 1848 he was proposed for the provisional state parliament .

In 1849 he was chairman of the committee for the establishment of a chamber of commerce and from 1850 councilor of the city of Klagenfurt. In 1850 he was elected mayor . During his term of office, the planning of extensive city beautification and the promotion of cultural issues, the expansion of the Lendhafen, the Kreuzbergl facilities, the establishment of a permanent mail coach connection to Ljubljana as well as the introduction of the telegraph service in the new post and telegraph directorate and the establishment of the art association.

Andreas Koller resigned in 1852 due to unresolved differences. Deputy Mayor Josef Anton Gugitz was entrusted with city affairs until a successor was elected, but refused to be elected mayor.

Andreas Koller died withdrawn and was buried in a wall grave in the St. Ruprecht cemetery.
