Andreas Kronenberg (born September 10, 1974 in Basel ) is a former Swiss football goalkeeper and current coach . He has been under contract as a goalkeeping coach at Bundesliga club SC Freiburg since 2011 .
Career
Kronenberg played in Switzerland in the junior division for FC Reinach, BSC Old Boys and FC Riehen, before joining the German top division TSF Ditzingen in 1993 , with whom he qualified in 1994 for the newly created Regionalliga Süd . After three years as a regular goalkeeper in Ditzingen, he moved to league rivals Wacker Burghausen in January 1997 . There, too, he quickly established himself as a regular goalkeeper and played 100 games in the Regionalliga Süd until he left. After 21 regional league appearances for SC Pfullendorf in the 2000/01 season, Kronenberg moved to the second division club LR Ahlen in the summer of 2001 . As a substitute goalkeeper behind Bernd Meier , he made four appearances in the second division in the 2002/03 season. At the end of his career he played for half a year with Holstein Kiel in the Regionalliga Nord and was then under contract with FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt for 18 months , but did not appear in any competitive game.
In 1991 Kronenberg took part with Switzerland in the U-16 European Football Championship in 1991 in their own country, in 1994 he made three appearances in the Swiss U-21 national team .
Since 2008, Kronenberg has been a goalkeeping coach in the youth division of FC Bayern Munich and since 2009 has also been a social worker at the FC Bayern youth center. In 2010/11 he also worked as a goalkeeper coach and social supervisor in the youth sector at VfB Stuttgart . Since the 2011/12 season he has been the goalkeeping coach of the professional team of Bundesliga club SC Freiburg .
