Andreas Müller (journalist)
Andreas Müller (* 1962 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German journalist.
Life
Müller began his journalistic career as a freelancer for the Badische Zeitung from 1979 to 1983. After training as a reserve officer from 1981 to 1983, Müller completed an internship at the Stuttgarter Zeitung from 1983 to 1985 . There he has been an editor since then, a correspondent for state politics since 1995 , and cross-departmental investigative research since 2012 . In 2010 he was one of the authors of the book Die Taschenspieler: betrayed and sold in Germany, published by Josef-Otto Freudenreich .
Awards
- 1995: Franz Karl Maier Prize of the Tagesspiegel Foundation (sponsorship prize)
- 1998: Wächterpreis der Deutschen Tagespresse (2nd prize) for an article in the Stuttgarter Zeitung about the questionable behavior of high-ranking tax officials in the state of Baden-Württemberg in tax matters
- 2012: Otto Brenner Prize (1st prize) from the IG Metall Science Foundation for his series of articles in the Stuttgarter Zeitung about the EnBW affair
