Andreas Müller (church historian)

Andreas Müller (born July 21, 1966 in Bochum ) is a German Protestant church historian . He is professor for church history at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel .

Life

After graduating from high school on May 18, 1985 at the Schiller School in Bochum and studying Protestant theology at the Church University of Bethel (1985–1987), the University of Bern (1987–1989) and the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg (1989–1987) 1993) he passed the first theological exam in Bielefeld on March 8, 1993 . In Thessaloniki he stayed from 1993 to 1995 as a fellow of the Synod of the Church of Greece . He completed the parish vicariate (1996–1997) at the Neustädter Marienkirche . The doctorate with the thesis Humanistically shaped Reformation on the border between Eastern and Western Christianity. Valentin Wagner's Greek Catechism from 1550 concluded on July 15, 1998 with a Rigorosum in Heidelberg . He passed the second theological exam on August 27, 1998 in Bielefeld. From 1995 to 1997 he was assistant assistant to Gerhard Ruhbach at the church college in Bethel . On February 27, 2000 he was ordained a pastor in honorary office in Munich. From 2003 to 2009 he was a pastor in the posting service in Minden with a church history research assignment. From 1997 to 2003 he was a research assistant to Klaus Koschorke at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the LMU Munich , where he worked on July 4, 2003 with the work The Concept of Spiritual Obedience with Johannes Sinaites. Since October 2009 he has been a full professor for church and religious history of the 1st millennium at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. Since 2010 he has been a university preacher at Kiel University.
