Andreas Schalk

Andreas Schalk (born March 21, 1984 in Ansbach ) is a German entrepreneur and politician ( CSU ). He has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since 2016 .

Life

After graduating from the Platen-Gymnasium in Ansbach, Schalk completed a dual business administration degree and in 2011 completed a master’s degree in finance , controlling , taxation and auditing at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg . He then worked in tax advice and auditing before joining the management of his parents' car dealership.

politics

Schalk was elected district chairman of the Junge Union Mittelfranken in 2009 and district chairman of the CSU Ansbach in March 2013. In the state elections in September 2013 , he ran as a pure list candidate without his own constituency . With around 17,000 total votes, he remained unsuccessful in the mandate, but was the first to succeed the other non-voting candidates on his list by a clear margin.

In March 2014 he was elected to the city council of Ansbach and took over the chairmanship of the CSU. After Michael Brückner's resignation , he moved into the Bavarian state parliament on June 13, 2016 via the CSU constituency list for Middle Franconia . In the state elections in 2018, he ran as a direct candidate and entered the Bavarian state parliament again with 31.75%. Since February 2019 he has headed the SME parliamentary group of the CSU parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament. Schalk is currently a member of the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs, Youth and Family and a member of the Committee for Science and Art.
