Andreas Wiesner (born July 30, 1994 in Geseke ) is a German swimmer and multiple German champion. Its main position is the backstroke.

education

From 2001 to 2005 Wiesner attended the Dr. Konrad Adenauer primary school and then - until 2011 - the Dietrich Bonhoeffer secondary school in his hometown of Geseke. Andreas Wiesner passed his Abitur in 2014 at the Helene Weber Vocational College in Paderborn.

In the same year Andreas Wiesner enrolled at Delta State University in Cleveland ( Mississippi / USA ), for which he received a scholarship. From 2015 to 2016, Wiesner studied sports science at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. Since 2017 he has been studying distance learning at the educational center for therapeutic professions in Remscheid.

Athletic career

At the age of 5, Andreas Wiesner learned to swim at TV 1862 Geseke in 1999. His two siblings were also active in swimming. In 2008 Wiesner switched to 1. Paderborner SV and got to know competitive sport there.

Thanks to his sporting success, Wiesner followed a scholarship to Delta State University (USA) after graduating from high school in 2014 in order to be able to pursue competitive sport there. However, the training conditions did not meet his expectations, so that he returned to Germany and joined the swimming team of the SG EWR Rheinhessen Mainz in 2015. Thanks to the successes at the German Short Course Championships 2015 , Wiesner qualified for the European Short Course Championships 2015 . In August 2016 he moved to Munich. Since then, Andreas Wiesner has been working for SG Stadtwerke München.
