Andreas von Thien (born February 14, 1967 in Wismar ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

life and career

Andreas von Thien completed a degree in journalism and has been working for the private broadcaster RTL in Cologne since 1990 . There he worked in the editorial Sport . He is a commentator on broadcasts of boxing matches and a specialist in football .

As a substitute for Ulrike von der Groeben , von Thien moderates sports alongside Birgit von Bentzel in the weekend editions of the news program RTL aktuell . He also presents events such as trade fairs and galas.

His father is the Wismar boxing legend Friedrich "Fiete" von Thien. In 2010 von Thien played a sports commentator in the film Max Schmeling , about the life of the German boxer.

Von Thien lives with his wife and three children in Königsdorf near Cologne.
