Andrej Kastelic (born April 6, 1971 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian handball trainer and former handball player who was mostly used on the left wing .

The 1.85 m tall and 88 kg heavy right-hander began his professional career at the Slovenian club RD Slovan Ljubljana . In 2000 he moved to city rival Prule 67 Ljubljana , with whom he became champion and cup winner in 2002. In the EHF Champions League 2002/03 he reached the semi-finals by winning an away game at THW Kiel . In September 2004 he signed with the German second division ThSV Eisenach , where he also ended his career in 2008. Kastelic has been an assistant trainer at RD Slovan since 2011 .

Andrej Kastelic won the silver medal with the Slovenian national team at the 2004 European Championships in his own country. In the 2000 Olympics he finished eighth in the 2004 Olympics , he finished eleventh. Kastelic played 148 international matches in which he scored 387 goals.
