Andrej Mrkela (Cyrillic Андреј Мркела ; born April 9, 1992 in Enschede ) is a Serbian football player .

Career

society

Mrkela began playing club football as a youth from FK Red Star Belgrade and was accepted into the professional squad in 2008. From summer 2009 he played on loan with OFK Beograd , FK Sopot and FK Rad . In 2011 he moved to the league competitor FK Rad.

For the second half of the 2012/13 season he moved together with his teammate Goran Čaušić to the Turkish Süper Lig at Eskişehirspor . While Goran Čaušić moved with the transfer fee to Eskişehirspor, Mrkela switched as a loan player with a purchase option. The club did not make use of the purchase option, so he moved back to his club FK Rad after the season .

National team

Mrkela has played for the Serbian U-21 national team since 2009 . With this he took part in the U-19 European Football Championship in 2011 and reached the semi-finals.
