Andrew Jackson (born in Australia ) is an Australian VFX supervisor .

Life

Jackson began his career as a special effects artist in the late 1990s. He made his debut as a digital artist on the pilot of the science fiction series Farscape in 1999, followed by the IMAX - short film Solarmax - The sun is alive! . For 300 he worked for the first time on a Hollywood production . The film was shortlisted for Best Visual Effects at the 2008 Academy Awards , but received no nominations. In 2016 , Jackson was nominated for an Oscar for Best Visual Effects for Mad Max: Fury Road along with Tom Wood , Dan Oliver and Andy Williams . He was also nominated for the BAFTA Film Award and the Saturn Award . He could only win the AACTA Award .
