Andrew Klavan (* 1954 in New York City ) is an American writer and screenwriter . He published some of his books under the pseudonyms Margaret Tracy and Keith Peterson .

Life

Andrew Klavan grew up with his three brothers, the son of New York radio host and columnist Gene Klavan, in New York City. He later studied economics at the University of California, Berkeley . At the same time, he published his first novel, Face of the Earth, and worked for a radio station. He then moved to Putnam County , New York .

Klavan was nominated four times for the Edgar Allan Poe Award and won it twice.

Andrew Klavan has two children with his wife, Ellen. He himself grew up in a Jewish family. After his bar mitzvah , he became an agnostic and later converted to Christianity .
