Andrij Skwaruk

Andrij Skwaruk ( Ukrainian Андрій Скварук ., English transcription Andriy Skvaruk * 9. March 1967 in Schnyriw , Brody Raion , Lviv Oblast ) is a former Ukrainian hammer thrower .

At the World Athletics Championships in 1993 in Stuttgart still failed in qualification, he was fourth at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and won the silver medal at the 1997 World Athletics Championships in Athens.

A fifth place at the 1999 World Championships in Seville was followed by a tenth place at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. He also came in fifth at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton and the 2002 European Athletics Championships in Munich. At the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis, he was fourth, at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki tenth.

He achieved his best performance of 82.62 m on April 27, 2002 in Koncha Saspa ( Kiev ).
