Andrius Šležas
Andrius Šležas (born February 4, 1975 in Joniškis , Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player and coach . He is best known as a 3-point specialist. He won a competition at "LKL žvaigždžių dienos" by Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL).
Sports career
As a child, he also attended athletics training. In 7th grade he decided to play basketball and studied at the Panevėžys sports school . From 1944 to 1997 he played with BC "Žiemgala" Joniškis (LKAL) in his hometown. From 1999 to 2008 he played with Lietuvos rytas in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . From 2005 he also worked as a coach with the boys (born in 1997 and 2003) at the Vilniaus krepšinio mokykla basketball school (VKM).
