Androktasiai
The Androktasiai ( ancient Greek Ἀνδροκτασίαι , singular Androktasia Ἀνδροκτασία , male murders ) are personifications of the slaughter in Greek mythology .
The word Androktasiai already appears in Homer as a synonymous name for the battles. In Hesiod's theogony , the Androktasiai appear personified as daughters of the goddess of discord Eris , their siblings are also personifications of concepts that are negatively charged for humans. In the shield of Heracles attributed to Hesiod, it is described that they adorn the shield of Heracles along with some other personifications related to war .
