Ponos
Ponos ( ancient Greek Πόνος “hardship, tribulation, suffering”) was a daimon in Greek mythology who embodied compulsory effort, hard work ( work suffering ) and fatigue. The laboratory in Roman mythology corresponds to it .
According to Hesiod's theogony he was the son of Eris , while in Ciceros De natura deorum he is descended from Nyx and Erebos .
In Seneca's tragedy Oedipus , Oedipus is accompanied by ponos into exile.
