Hysminai
The Hysminai ( ancient Greek Ὑσμίναι battles ) are personifications of battles in Greek mythology .
In Hesiod's theogony , the Hysminai are daughters of Eris , the goddess of discord, and their siblings are also personifications of negative terms. In Quintus of Smyrna they appear in his description of the shield of Achilles .
Hyginus Mythographus uses the Latin word for "battle" - Pugna - to describe them as descendants of Aither and Terra .
