Androy is the southernmost region of Madagascar

Androy is one of the 22 regions of Madagascar . It belongs to the province of Toliara in the south of the island. It is bordered by Atsimo-Andrefana to the west and Anosy to the east .

geography

The capital is Ambovombe . Androy has 733,933 inhabitants (2013), the surface is 19,317 km².

Administrative division

The region is divided into four districts:

• Ambovombe
• Bekily
• Beloha
• Tsiombe

The head of administration has been Andrien Hatrifenjanahary since 2007 (as of 2010).
