Andrzej Zbigniew Niedzielan (born February 27, 1979 in Żary ) is a former Polish football player .
Career in the club
The striker Andrzej Niedzielan played for Zagłębie Lubin in Poland from 1998 to 2001 . During the winter break of 2002, Niedzielan moved to Górnik Zabrze . Again in the winter break of 2003 he came to Dyskobolia Grodzisk and was one of the most important players of the provincial club and played a significant role in the club's rise to the UEFA Cup . In the first round of the 2003/04 UEFA Cup, he defeated Bundesliga club Hertha BSC with Dyskobolia . In 2004 he moved to the first Dutch league for NEC Nijmegen . In 2007 he went to the Polish club Wisła Krakau , where he was seriously injured with a cruciate ligament rupture on the third day of the league against Górnik Zabrze . In both 2008 and 2009, Niedzielan won the Polish championship title with Wisla. For the 2009/10 season, Andrzej Niedzielan moved to league rivals Ruch Chorzów . Here he scored seven goals in 18 league games and was able to partially build on his earlier form. In the 2010/11 season he played for Korona Kielce and was the second top scorer in the league behind Tomasz Frankowski . In the first half of the 2011/12 season he played for KS Cracovia , but could not build on his previous performances. In early 2012 he moved back to Ruch Chorzów. Here he played very rarely and ended his contract at the beginning of April 2014 by mutual agreement.
Career in the national team
With the Polish national soccer team , he qualified for the 2006 soccer world championship in Germany , in which group A played against the German national team . However, he was not nominated for the tournament. Between 2002 and 2006, he completed a total of 17 international matches, in which he scored five times. After four years of absence, he was called up by the Polish national coach Franciszek Smuda for the two international friendlies against the USA (October 10, 2010) and Ecuador (October 12, 2010) and also played as a substitute in both games. After that, however, no further nominations were made.
