Andy Bumatai

Andrew Jackson "Andy" Bumatai (born December 24, 1953 in Europe) is an American actor and stand-up comedian .

Life

Bumatai was born in Europe to a US soldier and a German - French mother . He initially earned his living as a tourist guide in Hawaii. In 1976 he began his career as a comedian. A few years later he was one of the hottest Hawaiian stand-up comedians with several comedy albums released and a show at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. From the late 1980s he toured the USA successfully.

In addition, Bumatai was also active as an actor. He made his television debut in 1980 in a guest role in the television series The Jeffersons . In addition to a few other guest roles in series such as Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu , he had recurring roles in the series Raven as Big Kahuna and in Hot Pavement Hawaii as Danny "Pipeline" Kahala . Neither series, however, became a huge success. Occasionally, Bumatai has also appeared on the big screen, including in The Whoopee Boys .

His brother Ray Bumatai , who died in 2005, was also an actor and comedian.
