Andy Lutter (born November 26, 1959 in Munich, Bavaria ) is a German musician and composer .

Life

From 1975 Lutter played in various Munich bands and composed various piano pieces even before graduating from high school. After attending the jazz school in Munich with Joe Haider and completing his composition studies at the Richard Strauss Konversatorium , he has taken part in numerous theater and musical productions since 1985. In the same year Lutter founded the Andy Lutter Jazz Trio. In 1986 Lutter was a pianist with Werner Schneyder . This was followed by numerous appearances with jazz bands, compositions for musicians such as Gottfried Schlögl , Sissi Perlinger and others. From 1987 keyboard player with the Munich Symphony Orchestra . Since 1992 composition of film music and musicals. 1999–2000 musical director and song composer of the Munich Lach- und Schießgesellschaft . Countless appearances, engagements and hundreds of compositions followed. Since 2001 Lutter has been chairman of the Munich Jazz Initiative, which organizes the Munich Jazz Festival every year.
