Ane Appelkvist Stenseth (born March 2, 1995 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Stenseth, who competes for the Grong Il, took part primarily in junior races from 2011 to 2015. She ran her first race in the Scandinavian Cup in December 2012 in Sjusjøen , which she finished in 101st place in the sprint. She has been taking part in FIS races and the Scandinavian Cup since 2015 . In the 2018/19 season she achieved her first top ten placements in the Scandinavian Cup with sixth place in the sprint in Östersund and fourth place in the sprint in Vuokatti . She made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in January 2019 in Dresden . There she got her first World Cup points with 17th place in the sprint. In the same month she arrived in Otepääwith the eighth place in the sprint her first top ten place in the World Cup. This was followed by two World Cup results among the top ten and at the end of the season 43rd place in the overall World Cup and 19th place in the Sprint World Cup.
