Angela Laycock (* 1982 ) is a British soldier and nationally a top athlete in several disciplines.

"Ange" Laycock lives in Bedford and serves in the rank of lieutenant in the Royal Engeniers . She attended the Defense Academy of the United Kingdom , where she was only the third woman to be honored with the Army's Sword of Honor , which Queen Elizabeth II presented to her in 2006. She then studied engineering at Emmanuel College of Cambridge University .

In 2003 Laycock was a medalist at the national rowing championships and took part in the all-British championships between the four states. As a representative of Cambridge , she started in cross-country skiing , cycling and orienteering competitions. She achieved her greatest sporting successes at the cross-country skiing and biathlon championships in 2008 in Ruhpolding and Obertilliach . With Alanda Scott , Claire Brooks and Anna Harris , she won the military patrol race title and came third in the team standings. She also won the team title in cross-country skiing alongside Scott, Harris and Brooks.
