Angel Fire is a city in Colfax County in the US state of New Mexico .
geography
The city is located in the southwest corner of the county in northeast New Mexico, is about 35 km to the north from Colorado . It is located in the Sangre de Cristo Range , a part of the Rocky Mountains .
Demographic data
After the census of 2000, there 1,048 people in 462 households and 340 families lived. The population density was 14 inhabitants per km². The racial the population was composed of 90.46% White, 0.19% African American, 1.05% Native American, 0.95% Asian and other groups. By 2010 the population rose to 1216 inhabitants, which corresponds to an annual growth rate of 1.36%.
Of the 462 households, 24.20% had children and young people under the age of 18 living with them. 64.90% were married couples living together, 5.60% were single mothers and 26.20% were non-families, 20.60% were made up of single households and 5.20% had someone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.27 and the average family size was 2.56.
In relation to the entire town, the population was composed of 19.90% residents under 18 years of age, 3.30% between 18 and 24 years of age, 22.70% between 25 and 44 years of age, 38.10% between 45 and 64 years of age 15.90% were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 47 years. For every 100 females there were 104.7 males. For every 100 women aged 18 or over there were 101.2 men statistically.
