Angela Elis (born May 14, 1966 in Leipzig ) is a German television presenter , journalist and book author .

Life

Angela Elis grew up in Markkleeberg near Leipzig during the GDR era and after the tenth grade ( graduation with distinction ) could not do the Abitur because she came from a religious family and her mother was self-employed. For a fix apprenticeship as merchandising designer / designer she trained as a teacher for children, youth and elderly work at the Bible school Burgstädt and the Ecclesiastical Seminary in Greifswald. Then she studied theology in Leipzig and Berlin via a special maturity examination . In 1988 she turned her back on the GDR and continued to study theology, art history and psychoanalysis in Frankfurt am Main . Graduated as Magister Artium with distinction.

After a one-year traineeship at Hessischer Rundfunk , she worked as a freelance journalist at mdr from 1993 , but soon moderated programs: the consumer magazine Telethek , the news magazine Vom 2 , the business magazine Umschau and the talk group On the Point , as well as Fact is ...! From 1999 to 2007 she presented the science and future magazine nano on 3sat , since 2001 the ZDF environmental magazine ZDF.umwelt - natural television , since 2003 the mdr job journal JoJo, from 2004 to 2008 the ARD magazine FAKT and the mdr magazine close. In addition, various special programs (including China special, India special, EU eastward expansion, inauguration of the Dresden Frauenkirche). In May 2008, she announced a screen break so that she could devote herself to her family. Angela Elis has two children.
